What is Juntendo Toiken?
(Juntendo Society of Oriental Medicine; JSOM)

Juntendo University Oriental Medicine Research GroupIt was launched in 2019 and officially approved as a club activity in 2021. The Oriental Medicine Research Society was established for the first time in Juntendo, which boasts a history of over 180 years. This is extremely significant historically.

December 2018   1st study session held (study sessions held monthly thereafter)

April 2019 Juntendo University Oriental Medicine Research Group launched

December 2019 The 1st special public symposium “Current status and challenges of preventive medicine in Oriental medicine” was held.

March 2020 The 15th study session was canceled due to COVID-19. From then on, lectures will be held via Zoom.

In November 2020, face-to-face lectures will resume, with hybrid lectures delivered online.

January 2021 Due to the declaration of a state of emergency, lectures will be held via Zoom again.

February 2021 2nd Special Public Symposium “COVID-19 and Oriental Medicine” held online

April 2021 Officially approved as a club activity by Juntendo University.

      The official name is ``Juntendo University Oriental Medicine Research Group for Students.''

February 2022 3rd Special Public Symposium “How to Learn Oriental Medicine – How to Deal with Traditional Medicine” will be held online

February 2023 “Juntendo University Oriental Medicine Seminar for Medical, Dental and Pharmaceutical Students”” (Part 1: Examination techniques training, Part 2: Case review session)

 The 4th Special Public Symposium "Sleep Physiology and Improvement Measures - From the Knowledge of Western and Oriental Medicine" will be held face-to-face and online hybrid March 2023 Venue provided for "2023 Harukan Quiz Exchange Meeting" (Supervised by Kitasato) university)

At Juntendo Toiken,We provide opportunities to study Oriental medicine, regardless of university, for medical students who normally have few opportunities to study Oriental medicine.
