Yoga introduction video for college students

October 17, 2021 Yoga Workshop (Yo Yoga)

To all medical students

I think there are almost no people today who don't know the word yoga.

And I think yoga is understood as something like gymnastics. For those who have had some experience with it, I think they know that breathing techniques and meditation are also part of yoga.

However, the world of yoga is much broader. And gymnastics (asana), breathing techniques, and meditation are just a small part of it.

In this yoga workshop, we aim to give you an overview and understanding of the world of yoga as a whole, while practicing physical exercises, breathing techniques, and meditation.

The world is currently focusing on the COVID-19 infection and related social issues. However, the number of people facing serious physical and mental problems such as lifestyle-related diseases, cancer, various incurable diseases, genetic diseases, depression, and mental illnesses such as schizophrenia is unimaginably large. And the situation is serious.

That's not all. Environmental issues, the world's political and economic situation, poverty, hunger... Various events are intertwined and cast a shadow on our daily lives.

I imagine that in university life and research, each of you is making a serious effort to clarify one of these problems or to open up a path to solving the problem. Masu.

On the other hand, I believe that all of you spend your days repeatedly encountering difficulties and troubles of various sizes in your private life.

I believe that for more than 4,000 years, humans have been facing the problems mentioned above and making efforts to solve them. It has nothing to do with time, culture, or region.

Yoga is one of the most useful answers to these questions.

I hope you will learn this lesson from this yoga course and apply it to your life.

That is our earnest wish.

Dear Medical students and all concerned,

Nowadays, there are very few people who do not know the word Yoga.

And, we think Yoga is understood to be something like gymnastics. Those who have experienced it for a while will know that breathing and meditation are also part of Yoga.

But the world of Yoga has a much wider range of content. And gymnastics (Asana), breathing, and meditation are just a few of them.

This Yoga workshop aims to give you an overview and understanding of the whole world of Yoga while practicing gymnastics, breathing techniques, and meditation.

The world is now focused on COVID-19 infection and the social problems related to it. However, the number of people facing serious physical and mental problems such as lifestyle-related diseases, cancer, various incurable diseases, genetic disorders, depression, schizophrenia and other mental disorders are unimaginably large and the situation is serious.

But that is not all. Environmental problems, the political and economic situation in the world, poverty, hunger… Various events are intertwined and cast a shadow on our daily lives.

We imagine that in the college life and the research environment, each of you is making a serious effort to identify one of these problems and to find a way to solve it.

On the other hand, we think that everybody is spending their days in a private part, repeatedly encountering difficulties and troubles of various sizes.

We think that humankind has been making efforts to solve the above problems for more than 4000 years. It has nothing to do with time, culture or region.

Yoga is one of the most useful answers to these questions.

We hope you will learn this from this Yoga course and make use of it in your live.

That is our earnest desire.
